I just found out that Linda Hanigan has contributed several packages of images for Linux Letters and Numbers.

First release in many months. The 0.1.8 version now includes
a wave player.

I've included a handfull of sounds and a sound recorder too.

The player and recorder were adapted from Colin Ligertwood's Wav Tools package.
