Ubuntu Linux is commonly configured with generic video drivers taking advantage of open-source software. Users have reported dramatic increases in LAC's framerates after installing proprietary video drivers. In particular, several users equipped with nVidia video hardware have reported significantly improved framerates after replacing the open-source "nouveau" drivers with the proprietary drivers from nVidia.

Whether your Ubuntu PC is equipped with nVidia, Intel, or other video hardware, if LAC does not deliver smooth performance and report 59 or 60FPS or better at least 95% of the time on Ubuntu platforms, please take a look at your video card and associated drivers. There is no reason why Ubuntu users should not enjoy the same smooth performance reported by Raspberry Pi users!
