Hello bbosen!
I tested the most recent versions of LAC and had success with my new OS configuration. I could improve the performance and was able to navigate the menus of LAC with the mouse cursor. The cursor is still problematic and stIcks regularly, but at least it is usable.
In all three versions, I was able to complete the training mission, so I can confirm that they are working in openSUSE.
The new hint for players, who are not able to navigate with the mouse cursor is a very useful addition, but I would suggest to add alternative key bindings for the menu navigation, because there are small keyboards, which do not have a numeric keypad.
During my tests, I noticed that only LAC 8.58 includes the corrected spelling and punctuation in the aircraft selection menu. LAC 8.59 and LAC 8.61 are still including the wrong spellings.
Moreover, I noticed two missing corrections in LAC 8.58:
Keep up your good work and greetings from Toxural! :-)**

Note: Toxural's request for "alternative key bindings for the menu navigation" is in place. The key bindings for looking left, right, up, and down are rebindable through the LacControls.txt file as described elsewhere in our documentation, and those are the same keys used for menu navigation.
Another note: Toxural has kindly pointed out several minor spelling errors in LAC's aircraft selection menus. Most are fixed in LAC 8.58, but some have not yet been fixed in LAC 8.59 and 8.61. We intend to make those corrections in the future.

Hello bbosen!
You can copy excerpts from my e-mail into the SourceForge fora, but my small success regarding the performance of LAC was not openSUSE-specific. My idea was basically to unburden the iGPU as much as possible. Since my previous test of LAC, the most fundamental measure to achieve this goal was the change of the display protocol from X11 to Wayland. KDE and its window manager KWin seems to be stabilized its Wayland implementation enough to use it on a daily basis. I noticed a much better performance in general and could improve the performance of LAC as well. As LAC is an X11-only application, it uses the compatibility layer XWayland, but nonetheless LAC was performing better than in the X11 environment.
