This is a patch to fix some problems with 3.7.5 in Internet EXPLODER. I've fixed it so it works in IE with one tiny bug viewable in the changelog.
I'll fix it later, but this will work for the time being.
This is overall a minor update, but adds a couple fixes listed in the changelog that could be annoying to some. I've taken a break on the project for now... but will implement something cool eventually I'm sure.
I released version 3.7.2 which just has a couple minor fixes as well as including a better README guide in it to explain how to use LIMP.
Enjoy! and thanks for checking out my product!
I have released a new version of LIMP today. A few changes, nothing too major, but next/previous thumbnails are now in the middle. It's pretty cool.
I'm going to release a new version soon which updates a couple minor issues and will update the Preview Display mode to have the previous & next thumbnails in the middle of the screen instead of at the bottom.
I have also made it so you can link to every folder & image. Also the back/forward buttons will now work properly and take you back and forward in your browsing history instead of simply going back to the album display.... read more
I have just released version 3.7. It fixes a couple issues as well as now allows theme switching. As a default I have added black & gray.
Check out the new website for pictures and such!
I have released version 3.6 of LIMP!
Now included is the ability to easily-setup images. Also, it now can use Image Magick as well as GD to resize images (Image Magick resizes more quickly than GD) automatically.
Download and give it a try! It's pretty sweet...
I realized I had a problem recently with the showing of album covers in internet explorer if the path has a ' .
This new version 3.5.4 fixes that problem, as well as one more small issue.
I released version 3.5.2 today. This doesn't add any new features but fixes problems with adding captions in Version 3.5 - 3.5.1.
Pathnames with weird characters were encoding weird into the database. This fixes the problem, but may mean your data is not properly read.
Contact me for any help :)
I have released a new version which handles a bug where captions couldn't be changed. It will now alert you why it can't better, and allow you to save them. Sorry about that one...
I have finally gotten around to releasing version 3.5. But I have been working on it for a while now. Here are the changes you're getting!
NEW!: The folders now show if they have been updated in the past week (you can set that timer).
NEW!: There is now the ability to choose the album covers graphically from the settings page!!
Some other changes have been done to make sure the folders show up more clearly.... read more
Due to my multiple messed up released of 3.3, I figured I'd put out a fresh new 3.4.
This really has little changes. The biggest change is that I fixed the formatting issues with Internet Explorer, by checking for it, and modifying some of my offsets if it is encountered.
This release should be it for a while... I have some interesting ideas for 3.5 that'll have to wait.
Update:
I have released a new version (LIMP3.3c.zip) to account for a couple bugs I found right after I uploaded the newest version. Please make sure you have downloaded the updated version.
---------------------------------
I have uploaded the new version adding a couple cool features and changing the color scheme a bit.
That, and it moves the flat file database location for easier upgrading of LIMP without destroying the current database.
This version will add the much-needed ability to link to particular folders & an image in a folder (not just the static link to the image).
Also... the Flat-File Database location is changing from the /src/db folder to the /db folder that way when you put a new version of LIMP on your server, your database will not be wiped out!
This should be out in the next day or two.
Update (1/20/09)
Added a newer version that fixes a bug when creating thumbnails introduced in Version 3.1.
Now by default creates album covers by random images in that directory - so if you don't like the current one, delete the "albumcover.jpg" image and let it re-create!

I have released a new version (3.1) with some slight tweaks to be more object-oriented and match up with the new documentation viewable at:... read more
I had a request for documentation. So I will be releasing that at some point soon. I'll definitely have included a class diagram, sequence diagram, as well as some sample code as to how you can modify/extend LIMP, and how to implement a new browsing mode.
Keep your eyes out for it, and please give me feedback on how this new version works for you.
After much work and testing, I have released Version 3.0 for everyone!
Please let me know what you think, or if you have any issues.
If you use LIMP on your website... please post up where you're using it so everyone can see how it's working for you!
The new version is still on the way... I will be adding a flat-file database and an uploader applet at some point (once I get a bit more time to work on it!). Check out the FSQL project on Sourceforge for information.
Overall it's a much easier user experience and I will be enhancing it still to make it even faster.
I am working on releasing version 3.0 some day soon.
It has been completely rewritten to be object-oriented, so it can easily be extended by other developers.
I have removed all previous display types, and have made the overall user interface much clearer.
I have also created an Initial Setup script to simplify initial setup of the image gallery.
I will also be someday adding a Java Applet to resize photos(locally) & then upload them directly to the site, as well as a flat file database system for comments/data for the images.
Today I'm adding a new Version 1.2 which adds in some fixes & stability such.
I'm also adding version 2.0, which is not proven yet to be 100% stable, but should be pretty close. Version 2.0 adds album support and other such things. Pretty sweet.
After too long of development, and sitting on the code, I've determined the code is stable enough to be released as version 1.0. Just a couple changes between this version and the last (0.5). Hope you enjoy. I am probably going to stop development on this for a while. If you have any requests, let me know.
This version is compatible with both php4 & php5.
I have released a new version 0.5 today. I have versions for both PHP version 4 & 5. If you don't know what you have, it's probably version 4.
This new version now supports image in subfolders ( recursively searches ).
I just posted an update for version 0.4. It's nothing too radical, but it fixes the side view mode which would simply preload all the images using javascript. This would cause the browser memory usage to bloat. That has been fixed with some AJAX.
Also added some Next/Previous page buttons to the picture browsing mode to make navigation more quickly.
As is listed in the changelog, many bugs are fixed.
The password fields actually work correctly now on the settings page. The dynamic resizing works much better now, and works properly in IE/FF/Opera.
Much better, and a little more added ajax, if you can find it!
Enjoy!! More changes to come if you post about it, or when I find more stuff to add... I think a slideshow is up next!
I have just finished & released the new version 0.3. It has a lot of added functionality including a fairly good deal of AJAX to deal with the MAX_EXECUTION_TIME setting of php screwing up things if set too low.
The 'Side View' now also dynamically sizes to the window size.
I have more ideas for things to add for version 0.4, but it could be a little ways away. If you have any ideas, post it in the forums!!
