LibSocketcpp / News: Recent posts

Libsocketcpp 1.1.0-devel has been released. It is still rather untested, but it should still be backwards compatable with all your code that used version 1.0.7. The code has been cleaned up and rewritten a little. The starting of a simple bufferedIO class is there. I will update documention and make it more functional soon.

Libsocket 1.0.7 has a "quickie" minor change in it to allow you to retreive the remote host's IP address. More to come later when I have the time.

Libsocket 1.0.4 is finally released on sourceforge's file release system. You can find it at http://download.sourceforge.net/libsocket/libsocketcpp-1.0.4.tar.gz . Please try and let me know if it compiles and works properly on your systems.

The name of libsocket had to be changed to libsocketcpp due to a name conflict with a solaris library.

Until sourceforge fixes their problem with the file release system, I have posted a copy of libsocket-1.0.0 on http://libsocket.sourceforge.net

the first public version of LibSocket has been released! Currently, it would seen that sourceforge is having a problem with posting release files, so it is unknown how long it will be until it can be downloaded
