Currently a MySQL driver is under way for the libmcal library. This will enable the storage of a collection of calendar events and data in a database which will also allow for remote access using the MySQL TCP/IP Connections. Lauren Matheson is credited for the inception of this addition to the libmcal project/
LibMCAL has released the latest versions with FreeBSD Support and many additions to the stability of each driver and app.
Horde:Kronoliths future plans include moving to mcal as soon as possible for abstraction and a chance at interfacing with Netscape Calendar server or what have you. For more information visit their site at http://www.horde.org/kronolith/
Currently efforts are underway to complete the compatability of libmcal with FreeBSD systems. In addition plans are being made to create a Perl Module, if you are interested in participating in these projects visit http://mcal.chek.com/ .
