release 2.0.0:
The Pygpiv module has been adapted to the Libgpiv 0.6.1 API. It is now possible to access and define individual array members (of structures) from a Python script.
Libgpiv has been optimized by parallellization of the image interrogation algorithm. It uses OpenMP for multi-core CPU computers and MPI for distributed memory sytems, like (Beowulf) clusters.
This package contains a kernel module to trigger a CCD camera and a (double-cavity Nd_YAG) laser for the so-called (Digital) Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and other image analysing techniques for fluid flows.
The software sends the TTL trigger pulses to the
camera, connected to the first pin of the parallel port and to the lasers, connected to the second and third pin, with a pre-scribed delay. As the application runs under RealTimeLinux and RTAI, the timings of the trigger pulses are well defined (i.e. the CPU load of the system is few critic).... read more
