Tried to compile launchy on qt540. Got an executable on Mac and Win (even Windows 10).
Fork on https://github.com/Slesa/launchy
Sorry, wrote to karlinjf, but got no answer yet.

I would be really happy if someone reanimates launchy and continues development on this great tool.
As I am an everyday user of launchy my productivity really depends on this tool and its plugins.

Sorry for the self-plug but some of you might be interested to know there is a recent alternative to the venerable Launchy: Keypirinha
Please note that I have been a happy user of Launchy for several years before deciding to roll my own after missing too much some features.

Just stumbled across you post and thought to give it a try. Granted I'm only in about 5 mins' worth, but it is pretty slick! Going to play with it more and try to customize it, but it's impressive so far. Thanks for the link.

An 32-bit release is quite low in my priority list at the moment but I encourage you to vote for this request in order to push it up in the priority list if you whish so.

Was this a clean installation or was the previous version already installed? I installed it on my Win7 and everything works fine. But V2.6b was already installed, maybe that is the difference?

I'm happy to see evidence of continuing development. Thanks for taking the reins with this. Like Dean Householder, my download had a problem on startup.

I'm also interested in this project. Mainly I'd like support for Windows' 10 multi-desktop features to be added. In my case, search and focus found running app windows if already running or start if not. Because it gets messy once you have many desktops and wonder where is a given app.

Are there plans to continue development? I see active diskussions, but no source changes since 2010?

Current issues on
http://slesa.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issues/lny?q=project%3A+Launchy#
I have trouble to compile on each platform, and additionally to use hotkeys on each platform
Launchy compiles now in branch develop on Mac, Windows and Linux. Hotkey only working on Mac - strange enough.
Even compiles on Win-X

I got it running with qt5 on Windows. I hope Linux and Mac will follow
Got ir running on Mac, too. I have problems with qpa on linux.
Got it running on linux, so all three OSses are supported now. Current version is available on
GitHub
Next step would be to create installers.
Thanks for picking this up, J. Preiss. A ton of people use this program at my company so getting this thing back to normal updates again means a lot.
Biggest request from me is for this thing to be able to launch x64 applications on Windows. Is that something you can make happen?

Thanks for the nice feedback!
Do you have any plans for an x86 release?

New installer for #launchy available at http://www.slesa.de/download/LaunchyApp-3.0.0-win64.exe
Currently working on mac and linux versions.
Sorry, it took a bit longer...
It's failing to open after install due to Qt errors.

Previous version was previously installed.

Same problem as everyone else with this version (QT error).
Keypirihna http://keypirinha.com/ is almost like Launchy - but a bit better and well maintained.
It seems to be solved now. I was missing the platform dll of qt in the installer.
Nevertheless - Keypirinha looks cool, too.
