Kricketscoreboard is taking a major turn in developing, the whole engine needs change to cater for features outside the application, and also allow for more and easy feature implementation.
So a rewrite has started on the backend with XML as storage, and a more robust engine for better data handling.
So it will be a while before anything gets release but will try to release alpha versions to see how it goes.
Worst has happened!
I was upgrading to Mandrake 10.1 and when it came time to restore my home directories my backup failed on me, lucky I pretty much have the new interface ready on cvs, but alot of converting to it has gone lost now.
Like they say shit happens.
Back to work....
Hi all,
New User interface plans on paper, development has been started, if it is completed the whole system will work better and smoother and will look better too.
Watch out for the space!!!
Kricketscoreboard version 1.1 has been released. Kricketscoreboard is a program
for keeping cricket scores, and allows for alot of stats.
This release is focused on minor feature enhancements. Ball by ball commentry
is added, as well as a quick view of the last 12 deliveries.
The interface is running into alot of issues (with me), and I decided that I am
going to focus on that for the next release, other focus points will be cleaning
and redoing some code in a better way for easier maintenance.
Kricketscorebard 1.0.1 released
This is only a quick release to add some minor feature enhancements on the fall of wicket window, and window posisioning bugs in KDE/Qt, that also let me to beleive that I need to redesign this interface and that it is becoming to cluttered, maybe dockable windows in MDI?
But first priority will be to add the current feature request then focus on the interface.
Hi all,
With Mandrake 10 i've picked up a huge problem with windows, and fixing it, also with some minor feature enhance ments, will try to release it by monday.

There we go, now got internet at home, now development is going to go forward.
I have already done some code cleanup and add support here and there.
look forward to 1.1 soon!
Hi people
I have found a new exciting job, and with that I am also moving to a new place.
I will only be able to continue this project after I have moved and installed a internet connection on that side.
Thank you for your patients.
Happy XMas to all and a happy new year.
There are going to be no more development for the rest of the year of this project. With the festive seasons beginning things are getting hettic. Also I am planning my wedding for 17 Jan 2004, so development will only resume after my honeymoon :)
There is nice features added, and the wait will hopefully be worth the while.
By now everyone maybe wondering if any work is going into this project?
Wel, there have been alot of issues upgrading my tools for developing Kricketscoreboard, but everyone have been resolved and work has begone. It is going to be slowly because of this end-year stuff that needs to be done at work and at home, so hopefully there will be some progress and a release before the end of the year, but don't get your hopes up to high. But then again I will try my best.... read more
The aim for now is to get Kricketscoreboard to KDE standards, not to have it included into their distribution of course but to fit in correctly with KDE.
I am in the process of upgrading autoconf, and am a bit stuck, but I will get there, also I am upgrading to KDevelop 3.0.0 currently in alpha release, but it have very nice features and is useable.
I have downloaded a lot of documentation from developer.kde.org to fine tune the application to KDE standards. This is a major reoganizing step so no real development are going to take place before I get all this stuff converted and upgraded.... read more
Kricketscoreboard is the only open source program for keeping score of cricket matches played with a ball and a bat. Release 1.0 is the first milestone release, a fully functional, feature rich program.
After almost a year, and ten minor releases, Kricketscoreboard 1.0 merges, and gives cricket scorers the opportunity to have a powerful computer cricket scoring system. The project started off from previous attempts to create a computerized scoring system in Visual Basic, and has made it into the KDE desktop environment. Kricketscoreboard grew progressively over time and each minor release focused on certain important features. Thanks to feed back from the community, an extra few features not planned for 1.0 came into consideration and was implemented.... read more
A week of work, work, work and more work.
I was very busy at work this week, but got some few extra hours to work on the project, and fixed those anoying bugs. I had some fun with the layouts, and also forced me to change one of the forms.
I think the project is ready as is in the CVS on branch KRICKETSB_1_0_BRANCH, so the people you can't wait, you can fetch it in CVS.
I only need to create some screenshots for the new web page, create the tarball and rpm packages and release 1.0. This will be ready before the end of next week.... read more
