Here is kamix 0.6.6. Please refer to homepage for changes, and for the fact that kamix will stop 'existing' and will be replaced by kalsamix.
Mainly a bugfix release. Many thanks to Chris Clayton a Diego Petten for hinting, patches and testing.
After quite some time... here is version 0.6.4. See Changelog for full details. Enjoy it!
Versione 0.6.1 is out, a clean-it-up-and-fix release, with a couple of minor improvements
OK, version 0.5.6 is out: it provides configurable colors/font for the OSD, and makes kamix a single instance app. Enjoy it.
Well ok, I've forgot to write some news... :) We're now at version 0.5.5: the biggest new thing is an OSD notifier for mixer changes... plus a couple of bugfixes.
Changes since 0.4.1:
* Code clean-up
* Configurable short view item
Here is version 0.4 which offers a simple vu-meter. Enjoy it!
Changes since 0.2.1:
o Added DCOP (basic) interface
o Mid-button opens a short master-only control
o Changed app icon to be (hopefully) more visible (and
surely uglier :P)
o Gracefully warn when ALSA mixer cannot be opened.
0.2.1 is out there. This version should avoid the creation of tons of mixer element, apparently useless, on some cards. Have fun :)
Version 0.2 is out. See the Changelog for details, this should be a quite usable thing. As usual, comments and rants are welcome...
A new update.
Changelog since 0.2pre1:
o Added systray support
o Avoid handling devices that are not canonical mixer elements
o Added optional debug information
o More checks on elements capabilities
o Fixed a typo that caused unexistent elements to be shown on "Capture" section of configure window
OK, new update. Among the others, ability to save/load window position and volume leves. I've added a .deb and a .rpm; the former should work fine (at least in testing), the latter is just an alienized version of the deb, I can't swear it works too :)
Enjoy this if you can :)
OK, updated source with some improvements and a silly crash fix. Added a context-menu for each item (clicking on the vertical label).
OK, the project is still alive. I hoped that the official kmix in 3.2 solved some of the problems, but it doesn't seem so. Still kmix fails to handle some switches, so I'll keep on working this little app until all will be handled (fixed?) in kmix. So stay tuned...
It's possible to config which elements are visible or hidden, to simplify the look
This adds a brief configuration windows; it contains only a few items, but will be completed later to make layout a bit simpler for everyday use.
Ok, this is a preliminary version if you want to play. Should compile, may work
