We've started to implement support for inheritance. For a sneak peak, you can check out the two tests:
http://jsonmarshaller.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/jsonmarshaller/srctest/com/twolattes/json/inheritance1/Inheritance1Test.java?view=markup
http://jsonmarshaller.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/jsonmarshaller/srctest/com/twolattes/json/inheritance2/Inheritance2Test.java?view=markup
That's right, after careful benchmarking, it turns out that JsonMarshaller is 20% to 3 times faster than comparable libraries. Switch now to save precious CPU cycles!
We've just released 0.6 in which we are adding views: "Do you happen to have complex entities which need to be marshalled once with a set of fields, and in another situation with other fields? Views allow you to specify different waays to marshall entities."
To read more about it, check out http://jsonmarshaller.sourceforge.net
We are finishing up the 0.6 release wich will include entities views. Using this feature, you will be able to marshall and unmarshall entities with a very tight control on what values are shown when. For instance, if you send a marshalled User over the wire, it might make sense to a short version sometimes and a full versions at others...
Check back soon!
We/ve updated the documentation of our project which is now hosted at SourceForge.net.
In the next release, we will package the documentation with the release so that it can be consulted whilst coding.
Hi all,
A new release is out which fixes bugs with due to null values.
As you may have seen, we started using SourceForge's SVN repository for the project's source code. So if you want the work in progress, you know where to search.
Thanks for using this project! We appreciate your comments!
