jsmtpd / News: Recent posts

Many new things in this release (0.4 Brinsop).
First of all, Jsmtpd now supports TLS (SSL) connections and SMTP authentication.
The documentation has been rewritten using docbook xml format, and has also been updated.
Source repository has been moved from cvs to subversion, and a dev section has been opened (roadmap, wiki and tickets).

Version alpha 0.3c is released for download. Althought not yet ready for production environnement, it has been used in a small Debian production environnement, replacing the traditionnal MTA packages. Many minor buggs where found and fixed in this release, and jsmtpd was stable in our small production environnement.
During this run, statistics gathered from processed mails confirmed the design choices made for Jsmtpd (in terms of average mail size).... read more
