#96 jmax crash with certain config

on 2.4.0

alsa 0.9.6 with a hammerfall HDSP + multiface.

When I configure the input and output channels thus:

hdsp_1 hammerfall... 0 hammerfall... 0
hdsp_2 hammerfall... 1 hammerfall... 1

I then create a patch where the 2 in channels go
through a volume type control then out the 2 out
channels....

I turn dsp on, jmax crashes.

I guess this might be an alsa issue (maybe not), but
either way, jmax should not crash (there are no
meaningful statements in the logs).

please tell me if more information is required.
