HI JGPS TrackEdit,

From a QStarz Travel Recorder, I have a track from a Holland America Cruise excursion of Southern France that lasted 5 hours and 44 minutes and contains 4,607 points. In particular, the excursion-bus drive made a long U-turn; 2 long legs of about 2 hours eastbound to Monaco, and then another leg to return. Both legs are noisy and require editing.

In order edit the track accurately, I need to find and tell the difference between the points from the first two hours and the last ones, even though, in many cases, they follow the same road.

Let me suggest an idea. Right now there is a (graphic red-dot icon) feature where I can select single points and zoom in on each individually. Why not generalize? Why not select select a range of points and show the chosen range graphically on the track line? That way I can select any range in the 5-hour track and spot its time tags. I can see what points belong to the beginning of the bus-ride and the end and fix each range correctly even though they fall on the same road.

What do you think??
