Hi, today I am trying to use JJGPSTrackEdit-1.7.4 and updated GPSTrackEdit-1.7.5 the OpenStreetmapTiles are not loaded anymore although it did work some months i.e. in july befoe. Open CycleMaps is fine.

HI JGPS TrackEdit, From a QStarz Travel Recorder, I have a track from a Holland America Cruise excursion of Southern France that lasted 5 hours and 44 minutes and contains 4,607 points. In particular, the excursion-bus drive made a long U-turn; 2 long legs of about 2 hours eastbound to Monaco, and then another leg to return. Both legs are noisy and require editing. When map tiles are fetched from openstreetmap, on linux a directory map with subdirectory OpenStreetMap is created in the users working directory. The map images under these directories might use much disk space and seem not to be deleted automatically. There should be a configuration parameter, where to create these directories, so that users can instruct the program to create these directories in /tmp/username for example. A configuration parameter that instructs the program to delete these directories...

Hi, when I open the program, I see no texts. Please see attached screenshot. I tried running it via terminal but no exception showed. I am using OpenJDK 15 on Pop OS (Ubuntu based distribution). What can I do to fix this? Thanks

Hello Erhard, multiple track segments in one GPX file are collected to one track. After opening the file the information of the different segments are lost. On TCX files the handling differs. Multiple tracks in a TCX file are opened as a collection of independend tracks. Note: there is no way at the moment to store multiple tracks or track segments in one file.

Helllo, I recorded several tracks in 1 GPX file on my Mobilephone (using Geo Tracker). It looks like this: [cid:image001.jpg@01D7AEC4.3EFEADA0] Pic 1: Three single tracks with "dotted lines" between Track1-end and Track2-start. That's's fine. If I now open this GPX file with JGPSTrackEdit, save it and import it to Geo Tracker, it looks like this: [cid:image002.jpg@01D7AEC4.3EFEADA0] Pic 2: JGPSTrackEdit merged the three single tracks to one "big" track. Hello, I have a GPX files with recorded Tack Segments. (see pic1). After open/save this file with JGPSTrackEdit, all these segments are merged to one big track. (see pic2) In the original GPX file I see the TAGS ... <trkseg> ..... </trkseg> ... But after open/save all these TAGS are lost. Is this a bug, or do I need to switch any option in JGPSTrackEdit? when I say "save as" I like to see the actual filename -- mostly I alter it a bit .. with an additional letter or number .

for some reason, the 'zeitstempel' uses UTC timecode, not MEZ ... also, the numbers are not very well distinguishable ... if date and time could be separated, it would help (me) a lot.

I can't see the information in the main evaluation window (name, lenght, height, etc.), because the font does not fit in the frame. I can't even guess what it might be saying.

I'd like to see if, how often and for how long I (was) interrupted biking. So a feature like "find (almost) no movement" would be very cool to calculate actual average speed rather than average speed including pauses, which distorts the picture.

Thank you for creating a nice and useful program. I have a suggestion that I think would improve the user experience. When the user zooms in or out using the mouse wheel, the point on the map under the mouse pointer changes. It would be nice if the zoom was centered on the mouse pointer, so that after zooming, the point under the mouse pointer is not changed. Like how google maps works.

Yes that is unfortunately so. It is planned to support waypoints, but I do not know when it will be implemented. At the moment waypoints are completely ignored while importing a track or route.

Sometimes the track in the gpx file contains some useful waypoints with warning or informations. This app (great anyway) doesn't import this points and there are lost.

The problem occurs only on Windows systems. Sorry for tat. Most of the time I do the development and test on a Linux machine.

Hi, when I export a GPX track from Basecamp, I can correct the heights with jgpstrackedit. When I try to import back to Basecamp there is an error message: unknown error. There is a tool that eliminates this problem: https://www.senotto.de/Tipps_Tricks/GPS/GPXclean/GPXclean.html Thomas

I would welcome an UNDO feature for any edits - now there is undo for Append only, moreover, it seems not working. At least one-step general undo would be great to avoid restarting all edits if one makes a mistake. Is there any hope for it? Pavel

There are two problems in the code: 1) The properties file is saved using the code page of the operating system. Better here is to use UTF-8 for writing and reading the file. 2) The windows backslash must be escaped by backslash. Otherwise the file path is misinterpreted. Sorry for that. I do the development by using a Linux machine. And mostly I do all tests there. An update will comming in the next days.

When I first launch the application everything and edit a GPX file opened at C:\Users\rkohanyi\Downloads everything is fine.
