#14 Maven pom.xml version 1.0-SNAPSHOT misleading

The Maven POM (pom.xml) on trunk/head has <version>1.0-SNAPSHOT</version>, indicating a pre-1.0-release codebase. This is misleading as it appears that the Maven conversion was performed post the 1.0 final release.

A TODO file suggests that the next release might be 1.5, so the POM should list version 1.5-SNAPSHOT.
