#9 100% CPU usage during playback

The playback of two tested MP3 files (11.025 kHz, mono)
causes a 100% CPU usage on may Athlon 2800 (Debian
Linux, Sarge - JDK 1.4.2_02).
The idenical code that runs fine with jl020.jar (~ 6%
CPU usage) is not able to play with java layer 04. It
only plays chunkwise with large pauses inbeween. I have
tested also the "build in" player. But the same problem
occurs with this.

Might possibly a thread scheduling thing??
