This release has improved internationalization support, especially double byte charactors such as Chinese. The package is further modularized with the internationalization in mind, and the translation process is standarized and simplified. There is a new documents describing the processes to add support for different character set.

This release is a major rewrite. The package now has moved to a new architecture which will facilitate coordination of development efforts from multiple developers, internationalization support, modular and object oriented processes, and seperation of GUI, business and database logic. It is a bug fix release, many UI and functionality fixes; minor database change.

This is the first beta release of IT4School. It fixed many bugs, and the system now is stable. The chatroom and attendence tracking features are added in this release as well.

Just a reminder, IT4School is a package to bring the schoole administrative as well as collaboratin processes on-line. It emphasis more on integrating with existing school informations systems , such as LDAP, Novell NDS, MS Access, and SASIxp, and brings the complete workflow of assignment/homework on-line. This paper talks about the challenges facing web-enabling existing education information systems, what it means to bring schools to the internet, and why this enablement has everything to do with existing information systems. The next whitepager will be about how IT4School anwser those challenges.

I am pleased to announce the release of it4school-0.3.1.

This release is a bug fix release, it fixes several embarassing bugs in assignment/work flow, now both the teacher view and student/parent

This release marks that it4school package is getting into alpha stage. It is (very) usable now, but more testing is certainly welcome.
