This release introduces OpenSolaris support (tested on version 2009.06). The check mode was enhanced: online messages are now visible even when starting a service (i.e. ipv6_care check -v /etc/init.d/<service> start); the detection of the problem when a monitored process is listening only IPv4 was improved. The documentation was updated.

This release introduces FreeBSD 8.0 support. Both the check mode and the patch mode were also enhanced. A fix concerning gethostbyname_r() should solve an authentication problem which could occur under some conditions when patching mysqld. The documentation was updated.

This major release introduces the patching mode: IPv6 CARE can now correct non-IPv6 behaviors on-the-fly in order to make TCP programs IPv6 compliant! Other changes include the introduction of autotools for package management. The documentation and the man page were updated.
