ARIN (not sure about other RIRs) won't allow plain WHOIS anymore and requires RWHOIS. Are there any plans to update the example code to support rwhois instead?
Not in the short term unless somebody can update the code. I don't use
RWHOIS and no amount of googling in the past was able to inlight me on
how it works. Just too much work for very little return really. The
real solution is to get another working RWHOIS implementation and to
write an export script for the IPplan data to be compatible with the
working RWHOIS. Now that would be useful.
