I tried to max out a 1Gbit connection with UDP traffic and was only able to produce 650Mbit/s to 800Mbit/s with iperf 2.0.5. I found that with version 2.0.4, I did not have this problem and was able to produce 900Mbit/s to 957Mbit/s of UDP traffic on the same hardware. Version 2.0.5 doesn't seem to have any issue with receiving the traffic. It just cannot produce the same amount.

Hello,

would you like to mention your test hardware or more test details?

For example, the command line arguments with which you run the tests would be of great help.

To add some comments wrt performance: I've managed to reach more than 7.0Gbit/sec with iperf 2.0.4. I'd be greatly surprised if there was such a big performance drop between 2.0.4 and 2.0.5.
