Version 0.2.03 released

This is a final bug fix release. The project will not be worked on in the near future. Check release notes for more information.

Major bug fix is the writing of files, the old version saved a lot of invalid images, this will no longer happen (although bad files may still be saved, it should no longer be the program's fault).

This version provides some small but functionally significant fixes to version 0.1.03. The most significant being that include/exclude between given text filters now work. Check the README file for more information on currently known bugs and fixed bugs.

Image Leech v0.1.03 Released

This version is completely different from the prototype in terms of program structure and the project's scope has shifted from creating a simple command line utility to a GUI downloader. This version is pretty much the same as the prototype in terms of functionality.

Downloading from a given file has been removed. However the ability to customizable depths and whether to download/filter each level has been added.

Prototype *almost* ready

I have already hacked out a program that is functionally sound. Testing on my machine (linux) has allowed me to sort out a few bugs, and I will test on Windows XP soon. Althought it is ready for release I just need to add in licensing information before releasing it.

After looking at some other Perl projections over the last few days it is clear my code needs a LOT of cleaning up. So rather than work on functionality, a fair bit of time will be spent making it expendable.... read more
