IMDBServices 0.0.8

I was in vacation. Nice. Quiet. Fun.
But...the project was left quite behind.
I'm back. So I updated the project just a bit, to give it a spin.
I'll be back soon with some improvements (I hope).

This version is mostly with a couple of bugfixes and some speedups.

IMDBServices 0.0.8
(+) GetMovieDetails() - is now multithreaded
(*) Added MUCH more better error handling - for GetMovieDetails
(*) Fixed parsing for actors (site changed)
(!) Error handling still needs lots of work
(!) ProActive file caching still loads always - even if outdated
(!) Async and priorities...still not functional

I was so busy lately...

If you need to achieve some speed for downloading stuff from the internet...i recomend you to use...Socket...

This was quite fast...because it contains mostly bugfixes...
I also added the sources to Subversion repository...if you are interested.

I hope to be able to add some nice stuff (async access, priorities system...) soon.

This time...a new version...not very much updated...but with a new feature quite useful (especially if you have slow network connection) - ProActive file caching!
It caches the pages in order to achieve higher speed!
In addition to this I fixed some bugs...for details you can consult the change log.

IMDBServices 0.0.5

It's a pleasure to announce the much anticipated version 0.0.5
Unfortunately it took forever to finish it due to technical problems (my harddisk went down).
But, it's here, meaner than ever!

The major work was to replace the old parsing mechanism (done with searches...and stuff) with one based on regular expressions.

My harddisk left the world of the living.
So it's time for a new one...to take it's place.
But soon, I will be back on track with the so much expected 0.0.5...that is almost ready.

Major release aproaching!

I love Regex!

The new version will feature a whole new parsing engine based on Regular Expressions (Regex).
I started to grab the bull by the balls and started the rewrite of the Parsing engine. Hope it will be easier...and a lot more stable.

So that you know why there is still no new version of IMDBServices...I will tell you:
I am scratching the surface of RegularExpressions so that I can develop a more stable and simple version of IMDBServices.
Configurability is the main target here.
Easily configurable parsing engine (in order to easily reflect changes).

So please...just a couple of days...maybe weeks...and there will be...some new goodies for you too!

No news for quite a long time...sorry but I was kind of busy...

Finally the 0.0.4 version is out!
It's a pleasure to launch it on my birthday because...it's quite stable. I could almost call it an alpha version...but not yet.

Today it's my birthday!

I hope soon we'll have 0.0.4 ready...

We are making the final preparations for the launch of IMDBServices 0.0.4...
It will come with a surprise...I hope you will like!

Notes:
This version almost completes the IMDBParser part of the library.
Soon the work will focus on the Cache subsystem.
Perhaps soon the alpha status will be achieved!
The library is now usable!

IMDBServices 0.0.3
(+) First release of binary package
(+) LGPL license
(*) GetPersonDetails() - now renders corectly if the person is a woman
(!) SearchMovie() can fail to return a list of movies if IMDB directly finds only one entry and redirects the result to the exact match (to be corrected soon)
(!) Get*Details() now uses D:\ path for temporary images download. Soon will be changed.
(!) Cache is still not functional (soon to be implemented)... read more

Cache is not implemented at all!
IMDB parsing is functional and rocking (not optimized but functional).
