Yes, the title is from the movie Mortal Kombat with Shang Tsung.
Anyways, I've finally released version 3 of this image resizing program. It took far too long, but it is done. I know not all the requested features made it. I hope you enjoy it!
Cheers!
Alright, after a far too long hiatus I am back. I had almost finished version 3 of this program until I got caught up with work. I have a few bugs/features to finish implementing than I will release it.
Although it was a feature request, I'm not going to implement context menu at this time. I feel that goes against the purpose of this project being a lightweight/no install program.
Peace out.
So I got an email from a nice chap who had some suggestions to improve this little program here. Well, I'm in the process of implementing most, if not all, of the feature requests. Depending on how much free time I have hopefully I can get this out quickly.
One thing I have already working which I'm still playing around with is the ability to drop in a folder including its subfolders. There may be an option for the user if he/she does or doesn't want subfolders added. It is pretty cool so far!... read more
I found a bug in v2.0 of my Image Resizer. The bug happened when you opened the program and attempted to drag and drop pictures to add. It would not enable the start button so that you could be processing images. I fixed that and you can download the fixed version v2.0.0.1 off the download page.
Enjoy!
So if you haven't already noticed version 2 of my image resizer program is out. Download, love it, destroy it, let me know if there are any fixes needing to be applied. I'll get a list of changes eventually (I hope)
Alright so I haven't posted any information lately. Anyways Version 2 is ALMOST done. Same basic layout with some great changes including drag and drop, checking for overwriting, and a nice progress bar letting you know what is happening!
The last thing I need to work on (fix) is when you try to overwrite a resized image of the original (i.e. you save it with the same name just smaller).
Hopefully it won't be to much longer. Hang in there.
So I've been chugging along when I can (or remember) to work on the 2nd version of this Image Resizer program. I decide to not just do a small increment but a full jump to 2 because I hope to have a lot of major changes. First off it now pops up with a window letting the user know how many images a left, %done, image being processed, and a pretty little progress bar. It is now multithreaded (2 to be exact ha!) so the response time is a lot better. Hmmm I think I'll just make a list of things that are new (or will be added) below:... read more
So it has been a long while since I've worked on this project and I'm thinking of reviving it. I've learned this past year at school and I'm thinking of scraping the old code and starting from scratch (well maybe taking a bit of the old code). I have an idea for quality of gif images and i'm sure i can figure out the png without to much trouble. I also have other ideas for allowing of manipulation of sizing...particular multi-threading and such. I would have implemented back in August but I just wanted to get the program out to people.... read more
