As some may have noticed the ikonForums.com domain is currently redirecting users straight to the SourceForge project page. This is due to a problem which has occurred whilst changing hosts, and we hope to be able to restore the main website & forums asap.
Well January seems a long time ago when iF1.0.0 was released. As the months have past a number of bugs which have arisen have been fixed, so we thought it was time to release iF 1.0.1. This release is designed as a bug-fix release, and whilst there are no security issues it is recommended users upgrade to the latest version.

As a new year arrives the IkonForums team are proud to announce the release of iF 1.0.0 (final). Since publicly going live with IkonForums nearly 15 months ago, iF has undergone much development including public betas and release candidates.
For those who've not tried IkonForums before (and for those who have) we'd like to mention the overhaul to our skinning system, which is now powered by our own 'ISIS' (Intuitive Selective Interoperable Skins). In addition to that, the QuickReply system is now AJAX-enabled, so you never have to refresh to see your post added. Finally, while it may not be noticeable to the average user, we've done some things that will make the server admins out there very happy. A lot of work has been done "under the hood" so to speak, and in many places, the number of queries has been optimized to cut the load by about fifty percent. A short announcement to say that iF 1.0.0 RC2 has now been released. The release notably improves validation of the skin and removal of hard-coded English, along with other bugs fixed. A full list of changes can be found within the 'Beta-RC Revisions' file included in the release and on the downloads page at SourceForge. RC2 is now available as two different releases, the main release for full installations, and a smaller upgrade release for those upgrading from RC1.... read more
Well after much a lot of development we can finally announce the release of ikonForums 1.0.0 RC1. Since we first started work on ikonForums we've fixed over 300 bugs along with over 140 added or modified features.

A full list of changes can be found within the 'Beta Revisions' file included in the release and on the downloads page at SourceForge. Beta 5 is now available as two different releases, the main release for full installations, and a smaller upgrade release for those upgrading from beta 4.
iF 1.0.0 Beta 2 is the next beta release by ikonForums, and is now available to download. This release fixes bugs discovered since beta 1, a list of changes can be found in the documentation.

After many months of development ikonForums 1.0.0 beta 1 is now finally available to download. ikonFourms is a Perl based forum software, developed by many whom were previously involved with other forum software.
Some notable features of ikonFourms include...
- A new skin system redesigned from the ground up, and it's now possible to combine different image sets with different JavaScript with different html sets, all through the easy-to-use adminCP, making skinning easier than ever before.
