A new release of Hrothgar is available. We have slowly but steadily enhanced this versatile MCMC toolkit as we've used it for internal projects. It has contributed to papers on galaxy cluster astrophysics, experimental particle physics, and gravitational shear measurement. Along the way, it has grown a graphical PGPLOT interface.
Hrothgar is a parallel minimizer and Markov Chain Monte Carlo generator by Andisheh Mahdavi of the University of Victoria.
Hrothgar v0.9 is released today under version 2 of the GNU GPL. A PDF manual is available.
A paper describing the Joint Analysis of Cluster Observations project (http://jacocluster.sf.net) was recently accepted for publication. JACO is a system for modeling the dark matter distribution in clusters of galaxies. Hrothgar provides the parallelizing frontend to the JACO global chi-square minimization.
