#48 Mainstream NLE possibility

Hi Guys, it would be great if Cinelerra could edit footage captured using the Digital Cinema cameras that are starting to come out...If this is achieved, Cinelerra could become very mainstream.

I suggest looking into Red.com and also http://www.siliconimaging.com/ they have cameras, among other copanies that shoot at 2k and 4k resolution...mainly cameras for making feature films.

another codec that would be great to integrate if possible: cineform.com

I think this is such an important thing and would bring so much attention to this editing package.

we edited it using sony vegas on a PC, but I think linux and cinelerra have a lot of potential...I'm available to help answer any questions some of you may have as to what would make cinelerra a better system than whats out there today.
