#164 Cinelerra 7 error importing MP4 file from compact camera

With Cinelerra 7 (also 6) there are errors reading in a short MP4 HD file from a compact camera. After reading in, there appears to be a black frame in front of the actual video, and the sound is very distorted. Cinelerra 5 has no problems with the same file, neither has any other Linux player like VLC.
Platform: Mint 18.3, AMD CPU. Video format according VLC 2.2.2: Codec H264 MPED-4 AVC part 10 avc1, resolution 1920x1080, frame rate 59.940060, YUV planar 4:2:0. Audio format: MPEC AAC mp4a, stereo, 40 kHz
