The new HelpSetMaker 1.1.1 brings a number of smaller enhancements and bugfixes:

* Non-breakable spaces ("_") at line begin lead now to indented lines in both HTML and LaTeX-based output. This allows e.g. representation of source code or similiarly formatted texts.

* Index creation was broken due to some XML headers which slipped into the HelpSet output and confused the mimosic Java HTML parser. The problem is fixed.... read more

The new HelpSetMaker version brings as big new feature text macros. The details:

* Macros: Reuseable portions of text. Markup and parameters are possible. Macros can be paragraphs on their own or inline.

* On creating a new project, HelpSetMaker is now much smarter in setting up the initial shape of the project frame.

* New projects use UTF-8 encoding for all STML files. There is no conversion mechanism for old projects, however. This can be archieved through external tools like ::recode:: and changing the encoding property in the project's settings.... read more

HelpSetMaker 1.0.2 improves image handling vastly: Images in the editor preview windows and in all output modes can be scaled now. Additionally, thumbnails are managed much more efficiently. Changing thumbnail sizes is not time-consuming any more once the thumbnails are created.

HelpSetMaker 0.9.6 brings some smaller feature enhancements on general project management:

* Project-global integrity checks for image references and project-internal hyperlinks.

* Image library rebuilding and thumbnail size changing gives more feedback during operation.

* Minor changes to XML file format to cope better with version management needs.

This release fixes some quirks with the project conversion code. The big new features (Version management support, navigation through document, better thumbnail support, typographic quotation marks) are already in 0.9.4.

HelpSetMaker 0.9.4 brings vastly enhanced support for collaborative work on a project by using a version management system (CVS etc.). Additional beautifying of thumbnails and typographic quotation marks. Pagewise output can have navigational elements on top and/or bottom of the page. In detail:

- Anchor tags are exported more browser-friendly in HTML-4 outputs.

New HelpSetMaker version can create a JAR file containing the HelpSet directly. It does set the output encoding now explicitly (and does not rely on it being ISO-8859-1 any more). Finally, it got a norwegian user interface (thanks to Torstein Olsen).

New version 0.8.0 brings HelpSetMaker further to being a general purpose documentation tool. Main new feature is the capability to create LaTeX source code out of the help information, so that nicely formatted printouts can be created. After JavaHelp HelpSets and HTML pages this is the third output format of HelpSetMaker.
