I'm experiencing the same problem with v0.9.3 running in
SuSE 7.2. If I try to change my user name from the 'Options'
window I get this error in the terminal when I hit 'ok' or
'apply':
, followed by many similar errors. I can change other
settings, like the tracker list, from the Options window,
though they also give similar errors in the term. If you
can't reproduce this error I can provide the rest of the
error messages.

Doesn't work for me either.
Found that if I used xemacs or vi (your favourite editor),
and open the .gtkhxrc file then I could edit it.
chmod setting was fine.
This was after installing Mandrake 9 and 9.2 and installing
from the tar.gz files.

Your ~/.gtkhxrc file contains this data. I haven't
experienced such a problem and would welcome more
information regarding this issue.
