Grub Client 0.2.1 is out! This version has lots of new features including a text GUI with stats, better bandwidth limiting, host protection, a completely rewritten crawler class, and an order of magnitude increase in crawling capabilities. The new crawler now displays your daily ranking, so you can see where stand in comparison to the other Grubsters.

The beta Grub client is now available via CVS. We are actively taking beta testers. Be sure to sign up on our website, http://www.grub.org

We're not dead! We haven't been posting to Source Forge a lot lately, but we have been developing code. Visit our site for more information about what is going on with us. We should have some new code posted to Source Forge within the next week or so. We'll keep you posted!

08/23/00 - Yikes! Almost a month since our last post. We've been extremely busy though! Our SourceForge rating has jumped to around 87.85% as of today. CVS postings should start increasing as the team of developers start turning in their assigned modules. We've got about 14 developers/admins committed to working on the project now. We certainly owe a TON to these fine people for helping us out. Thanks guys! We've gotten the UDMSearch indexer running full time now on the URLs that have been retrieved using the JAVA Grub client(s). Remember, this is just a temporary thing that we are doing until the new code comes on line! We've also updated the old JAVA client code to fix a bug that caused it to hang. We are working on fixing the older server code to fix a hang bug with it as well. The new software is on schedule and should be released as early alpha sometime toward the end of October. At that time, we should be able to start building the database with the incoming data. If you want to sign up for alpha testing, be sure and let us know.
