I haven't been able to open Floorboard on it for months. I download new versions when they come out but no luck. It's been opening this screen and that's all I seem to be able to open. You think I'd have better luck with a new laptop?
Have you tried going into the editor working folder $:/SHARED/FxFloorBoard/GR55FloorBoard/
and both, setting the permissions for the GR55FloorBoard folder (click on folder and select get Info) and set the permissions to allow the app to write saved settings in the folder,
and secondly, delete the saved settings file named "preferences.xml".
This will allow the app to generate a new file after being run a couple of times.
Then hopefully the app will run and you can go into the "Preferences" menu and select "GR-55" as the device to connect to.
The app should run on Mac OS as far back as 10.15.
Let me know if the two fixes detailed above sole he problem, if not I will have to look at other options.
Cheers

I just downloaded the most recent Floorboard and it is not working on my Mac OS 10.15.7
The error message says the software needs mac 11.0 or higher. I cannot upgrade due to other hardware compatibility issues (audio interface, etc.). Floorboard worked great, for me, before this update. When this bug is fixed I will donate $50 via paypal.

Hi All Mac OS users,
Sorry about the mess around.
I reconfigured the Mac version to lesser Mac OS version as it was set by default to OS 11.0 minimum spec,
now set to 10.5 minimum (I think 10.13 might be the actual minimum it will run on perhaps).
I am not that well clued on Mac OS life and am also still tinkering with the Shared folder (GR55FloorBoard running/storage folder) disk attributes.
The installing and running permissions are bit of a problem since the app is not "Apple Certified" as the Apple Developers yearly subscription fee accumulates over nearly 20 years for certifying 30 or so free/shareware apps.
Just download the app installer again and run the installer, and hopefully the folder permissions are correct for the app being able to write saved settings and saved patch files.
You can tinker with your GR55floorboard folder permissions if it doesn't work and let me know which attributes do work.
Installing back into the Mac used for developement sometimes does not show these things using my own permissions.
Hi,
I have updated the GR-55FloorBoard with two version for Mac OSIf you would like to try the one that suits your version of Mac OS, and hopefully all should be good.let me know if there are any further issues
CheersColin.

The older version works great for me but not the new version. It's still doing the same thing. But still satisfied I'm back being able to use the app. Awesome work! Thank you!

The old archived copy that you posted also works for me. Is this copy one that will not have a forced expiration date? Hope so. Thank you for posting this.

Also found an old 2015 copy built on Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite, and uploaded that into the Archive folder of the download page.
Let me know how it goes, I am hoping it works out.
Cheers :)

Is my Big Sur 11.7.6 too old for GR Floorboard?
