First line is constructed bad with extra "http://'.
deb http://http://packages.gnoppix.com/gnoppix gnoppix-rolling main contrib non-free non-free-firmware
Manually correcting this line and running apt update, restored the ability to perform other maintenance.
I tried to reproduce, neighter the XFCE nor KDE has this as sources list. I've checked the routine which generate the sources.list since 23.8 we do not use anymore gnoppix.com domain, just gnoppix.org, can you please provide a excat version with a screenshot ?
Thanks for you feedback!
I reinstalled and did not have the syntax error as orignally reported. I still have an error for an unsigned repository. The following output is from a terminal session listing sources.list content followed by an apt update.
gene@GNOPPIX238XFC:~ $ cd /etc/apt/
gene@GNOPPIX238XFC:/etc/apt $ cat sources.list
