GLMixer input device support is platform dependent. See sections below for details.
After selecting the Device and its parameters, try it with the Test Device button.
In case the device cannot connect, you can obtain more information on the problem in GLMixer log window.
Under Linux, devices drivers are based on video4linux.
Under Windows, devices drivers are based on Direct Show.
Under Mac OSX, devices drivers are based on avfoundation.
Please note: Auto framerate and resolution are NOT supported: you have to test different resolutions and framerate until the device can connect. For instance, the webcam embedded in 3rd generation MacBook Pro only works at 1280x720 @ 30fps.
Under Linux, capture drivers are based on x11.
Under Windows, capture drivers are based on GDI grab.
Under Mac OSX, capture drivers are based on avfoundation.
Please note: Custom area screen capture is NOT supported: instead, you can select which screen to capture.
The Decklink input device provides capture capabilities for BlackMagic DeckLink devices.
Please note: To date, support for BlackMagic devices is implemented for OSX only.
Support for OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision Library) is kept for legacy under some platforms: it will become obsolete.
