A new beginning... from where I left off.

Ok, it's been 6 years since the initial release, and I did have a ton of updates ready to send up to the CVS back in 2003/2004. I've learned a lot since then. Unfortunatly, the v.3 sources seem lost at this time. There is one place the newer sources might be, but I can't get to it at this time. I have moved all the v.1 sources into svn and have updated adodb in the trunk.

At this time, it is not recommended you try and use the trunk because the newer version of adodb may have broken it and I need to test things out.

I did a search and found <a href=http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/23052/info>this issue</a> (and <a href=http://xforce.iss.net/xforce/xfdb/33089>here</a> which is a log injection vulnerability in v.1 I need to look at and fix. There may be call for a complete rewrite to PHP5, or at least convert everything to objects.

With all that being said, I'm contemplating splitting the project into a "light" version and a regular version, or perhaps just implementing a microblog mode.

It is my intent to include the following:

Installation script
Admin interface
API for standardized plug-ins, modules, and themes.
XML-RPC
Updated theme engine using css extensively (seems to be the in thing)
rss and atom feeds
XHTML compatible output
Multi-user support built in (for hosting services)
More and better security.

Even more, if it seems feasible, I may include the following:
WordPress compatible API integration
Joomla! integration as a plugin
