GanttPV release v0.11b contains: (1) New relational table diagrams. (2) "Edit Record" script displays the currently selected row as a form. (3) "Rmap" script uses your ORM data to generate a relational table diagram. (4) "Generate SQL" script generates the SQL commands to build a database. (5) "Open Python Editor" script is designed to edit GanttPV scripts. (6) "Open Python Shell" script allows you to interactively run Python commands inside of GanttPV. Great for working through the scripting tutorial.

GanttPV v0.10 - New release

New features:
(1) Added support for Object Role Modeling.
(2) Added more gantt chart bars: completion, base, and actual.
(3) Added search box to dependency and assignment dialogs. Also included first names in assignment dialog.
(4) Added shortcuts for the Script menu to the main program.

New scripts:
(1) "One Task Per Resource" adds resource dependencies to prevent overbooking of resources.
(2) "Custom Colors and Sizes" to customize GanttPV's appearance. Increasing the column label size fixes the invisible date problem encountered on some machines. ... read more

New this release: (1) supports export of unicode characters in HTML export; (2) adds new Export Database as XML script (plus some sample xslt transforms that work on the xml export); (3) allows setting multiple tasks as child tasks at the same time; (4) uses Alex's GanttPV icon for the program on Windows.

Bug fixes: (1) fixes the disappearing scroll bar problem (on windows); (2) fixes the missing dll problem some users have reported (on windows); (3) fixes the disappearing names in assigned resources display (when the names contain non-ascii characters) (on windows).

New features and improvements include: define your own custom column types, improved copy and paste (now a flexible and easy way to import and export data), repeat previous script, set plan bar color by float or dependency, fractional durations, improved menu layouts, more keyboard shortcuts, and expanded quick start documentation.

- Added "Window" menu to switch rapidly between open reports.
- Multi-level "Script" menu. Uses the same hierarchy as the Scripts folder.
- Uses Alexander's updated toolbar icons.
- A series of dependencies can be created at once. Select the tasks and click the "Assign Prerequisites" toolbar button. They will be linked in the order they are displayed.
- Includes "Remove Dependencies" script. Removes any dependencies between selected tasks.
- Task parenting. Sub-tasks can be grouped under parent task.
- New columns for task reports: Resources, Prerequisites, Successors, and Child Tasks. For example, "Resources" column displays a list of the resources assigned to each task.

When GanttPV version 0.4 was announced two days ago a problem with the mirror download servers made it difficult to get a copy.

We are happy to report that the problems have been resolved and GanttPV v0.4 is now available for download.

New features in release 0.4:

(1) Workload planning feature calculates assigned hours for each resource and task.

(2) Critical path support displays total float and free float for each task.

(3) Standard set of reports can be added to project with single command.

(4) Optional entry of duration by weeks or days.

(5) Display gantt charts by month and quarter.

Fixed two bugs: (1) The position of inserted rows is no longer thrown off by deleted rows. (2) The page now doesn't scroll back when entering start dates or durations below the first screen of tasks.

Scripts release 050104 announced for GanttPV project management tool.

With this release users can: track team productivity and project expenses, add a checklist to each task, and expand the resource list into a contact list. The new scripts also provide more report sorting options and enable copying report data to the clipboard.

Scripts release 041117 announced for GanttPV project management tool.

Includes new scripts to track and prioritize the "follow up" details that keep a project moving forwards. Use them to manage: Issues, Action Items, and To Do Lists.

Updated "Export as HTML" script offers better translation of HTML sensitive characters, centers column headers, and adds the date and time exported to each report.

Release 0.2 of the GanttPV project management tool contains several important bug fixes. It also simplifies the creation of new report types and expands the kinds of reports that can be defined. Watch for the next scripts releases to see the benefits.
