this is an absolute necessity!
I would like to see the ability to calculate:
and it would be interesting to be able to calculate the same results for a range of time within the project as well. that way, we can look at a subsection of the project.
I don't know if microsoft project can do this or not, but if ganttproject can do this maybe others will follow!
and this new feature will likely change "under the hood" as new cost mgmt features get added too.

Yes, please. Besides, a cost calendar (or a budget planner if you like), showing the cost per month, per project year, calendar year (and total of course) would be a major feature. This seems very simple once individual costs can be assigned to each resource, and would involve only multiplying resource cost by the effort (#hours, days or months), and then summing up the rows and columns.

I am using GP for quite some time and I am impressed by the performance and by the features.
I am however also missing the possibility to do some calculations. This is obviously on the high priority list of many users.
When it comes to calculations spread sheets are the best way to deal with whatever calculations I need. I have therefore tried to use Excel to do the calculations and it almost worked through the simple CSV export.
There is minor trouble however. The current CSV export exports only the project (Gantt) view of the project. In order to use Excel we would need a CSV export of the resource view together with
throw in (for good measure)
The rest would be done by the spread sheet application.

in order to facilate the calculation of total cost, for each affectation of a resource to a task, is it possible to have a specific column to give the number of resources for this task?
it supposes that each resource should have a maximum amount (ex : 5, 10, 100, ...)
then the percentage can be automatically calculate from the ratio : number/maximum.

another question is for the columns of the affectation. is it possible to add personnalize columns for this affectation?
