I know this is super old and probably no one is watching this anymore, but I'm still having a lot of trouble getting this to work? Ive set the thread download folder and everything but all im getting are .json.tcache files which judt open up into gibberish, and then disappear ehen i close the programs. i can't find and html files anywhere. :/ is it possible the feature broke in later versions or singing? im on 1.7.0. Thank you!!

SFW boards now use the url 4channel instead of 4chan e.g. https://boards.4channel.org/v/thread, just change it to https://boards.4chan.org/v/thread

The 4chan parser can be manually downloaded and updated here (just replace your parser4chan.dll file in the plugins folder): https://sourceforge.net/projects/fourchan-dl/files/webupdate/plugins/ As for updating executable:Console to 0.1.2, I'm also in the dark.

Yeah that's the known workaround, If anyone knew qt and c++ they could make a parser for it through the plugin system

When you copy the url for 4channel just edit the url to say 4chan instead. Worked for me.

thats just for 4chan, since hiro split the site into 4chan and 4channel, 4channel needs its own parser or it needs to be coded into the 4chan parser.

Goto https://sourceforge.net/projects/fourchan-dl/files/webupdate/plugins/ download the parser4chan.dll file and put it into you plugins forder then might fix it, did for me.

It still works it just needs a parser plugin for 4channel, the workaround right now is to just turn your links into 4chan links rather than 4channel links

Just take any 4channel link and turn it into 4chan and the program should still work, Although as of right now it doesn't seem to be working anymore.

When I installed from here the 4chan parser dll was empty. I went to the webupdate file online and downloaded parser4chan.dll from the plugins folder. Replaced it with the one in the plugins folder on my computer and it worked fine.
