The KJV Bible (fortune format) is now a FreeBSD port! For installation, simply

#cd /usr/ports/misc/fortune-mod-bible
# make install clean

If you're a portupgrade user, then

# portupgrade fortune-mode-bible

Couldn't be easier! The only hitch is that the program is installed in:

/usr/local/share/games/fortune/bible

You can symlink to the "base install" of fortune by...

# ln -s /usr/local/share/games/fortune/bible* \
/usr/share/games/fortune/... read more

Sorry for the absurdly long delay. Files are now available in tar.bz2 format. Simply uncompress and copy to the subdir on your system that supports fortune files.
