#2 Porting to MCF547x, 548x?

Hi,

I was wondering how difficult would it be to port the FNET TCP/IP stack and TFTP Bootloader to the MCF547x or MCF548x CPU family?
Could you for example use the existing Ethernet drivers for these processors?
I guess the major difference between V2 and V4 CPU families is the on-chip flash which is present in the V2, while V4 has to use external flash.

Hi Mike,

You are right, it's possible.
But for this moment the FNET is targeting MCUs only. If we will get serious customer real project request, it can be ported to V4 by us.
Also you can try to port it by yourself.

For MPUs V4 you can use existing big bootloaders (e.g. dBUG, uboot etc.).
