flickrj 1.0b1 is now available for download in the Project Files. This is the first release in quite some time. A lot of updates have occurred in CVS - pretty much everything has to do with adapting to changes in the Flickr API. This release includes the new authentication API, fixed bugs and additional methods in the Photo class for getting various URLs. There is also an initial implementation of the API over SOAP.

This release adds the ability to get BufferedImage objects directly from Photo instances. There are methods for each of the available sizes from Flickr.

This release now uses a ThreadLocal object for storing request context information, including the user authentication. Additionally there are simpler constructors as well as updates to documentation.

I've imported the codebase for flickrj into the Sourceforge CVS. It'll take a little while to show up in the web based CVS interface but hopefully it won't be too long.
