#671 Buddy window integrated into tabs

One feature that I would like to see, mainly for reducing the amount of
desktop space required for the application, would be to have the Buddies
"window" available as a tab inside the chat (or primary) window.

Of course, this would be a preference that the user could enable or disable
as they chose.

Please feel free to contact me, I would be interested in drawing up some
mock interfaces in Interface Builder (my programming skills are extremely
rusty and are likely not going to be up to task to actually coding this.)

I'm going to strongly second this idea, but offer a competing means of
implementation.

Instead of an additional tab, it could be made to work just like iTunes,
iPhoto, etc., with a list of buddies on the left (with the same options
currently available in the Buddies window) and then with tabbed chats
similar to a tabbed Safari browser window on the right (I think from that
you can guess which tab format I prefer).
