Hello exchange4linux users,

The exchange4linux 3.1.10 release is available.
exchange4linux 3.x now uses the SOAP based SWAP protocol over HTTP and requires the new 3.x Outlook connector.
Amoung other features exchange4linux is now Offline capable, and can update remotely through firewalls, etc, using HTTPS connections instead of CORBA.

The first BETA release of the 3.0.x series is available.

exchange4linux 2.5.8 is now available.
This version is mainly a maintenance release with bugfixes.

Furthermore there are now some new developer resources available and linked from the download page. These are:

- bugzilla bug management system (http://bugs.n-h.com/cgi-bin/bugzilla/index.cgi)
- subversion code version control system (https://svn.n-h.com/svn/exchange4linux). In the future e4l source code will now be available from here. We'll also gladly provide branches and logins for contributers, thereby simplifying the publishing and integration of change proposals.... read more

After a very busy development phase, the next release of packages for the 2.5.x exchange4linux-all series is available as version 2.5.7.

The main feature of this version is the support of Outlook 2003 in combination with IMAP incoming mail.
Further features are the improved compatibility with Palm Sync tools which will also benifit other Sync tools as well.

The first full release of packages for the 2.5.x exchange4linux-all series is available for version 2.5.4.

The main feature addition of the 2.5.x series is the option to add other accounts as delegates to your current session based on private ACLs.
Furthermore 2.5.4 includes various improvements to handle more concurrent users.

exchange4linux-all now includes all necessary subsystems, such as python, postgres and omniORB in both the source and binary packages. This simplifies installation and version matching between subsystems.

Binary packages are now available for Debian 3.0 (woody) and Redhat Enterprise Linux 3.0.
Users of other platforms should use the exchange4linux-all source distribution, which should build out of the box on most Linux distributions.... read more

Hello exchange4linux users,

The first BETA release of the 2.4.x series is available.
exchange4linux 2.4.x now uses new SQL schemas that have been optimized for Outlook's main classes and properties.
The BETA releases are intended for testing and preview purposes only as the schema is still subject to change until the final 2.4.x release.
The final release will include migration tools for converting existing 2.3.x databases into the 2.4.x schema.
The new normalized schemas will boost the performance and
scalabitlity by a factor of around 50.
The system no longer requires a startup cache, thereby reducing startup time to a fraction of the previous version.... read more

exchange4linux Version 2.2.1 is now available as a Debian package for download at:
http://www.exchange4linux.org

exchange4linux is the new overall project name for the suite of workgroup services including the BILL Open Workgroup Server. BILL will remain the code name of the server side workgroup engine, whereas exchange4linux will be used as the name of the whole set of services and tools. At the same time exchange4linux will be hosting it's open source development environment at SourceForge.Net.
