#62 3Com900B Combo only boots from TP

Hi,

just trying to get an

(lspci output:)
0000:00:0e.0 Ethernet controller:
3Com Corporation 3c900B-Combo Etherlink XL [Cyclone]
(rev 04)

0000:00:0e.0 0200: 10b7:9005 (rev 04)

booting with etherboot 5.3.15. zdsk images from
rom-o-matic.

I ran into the following problems:

1. eb-5.3.15-3c595.zdsk (when choosing
3c595:3c900b-combo -- [0x10b7,0x9005])
does not work at all.

2. eb-5.3.15-3c90x.zdsk (when choosing
3c90x:3c9005-combo -- [0x10b7,0x9005])
works for me partially:

TP: ok

BNC: fails
(yes, I configured the EPROM with the DOS
utility to use the BNC tranceiver;
yes, the BNC tranceiver works fine).
When trying with BNC, I see no DHCP requests
in the DHCP Server log files.

3. The docs
(http://rom-o-matic.net/5.3.15/etherboot-5.3.15/src/bin/NIC)
list the 3Com900B-Combo both in the

family drivers/net/3c595
3c900b-combo 0x10b7,0x9005 3Com900B-Combo

and the

family drivers/net/3c90x
3c905b-combo 0x10b7,0x9005 3Com900B-Combo

section. Confusing.
