I am working on porting the project to a maven based build system. I expect it to get it done over the this weekend
After a brief break, the development of esims has resumed, The next milestone release is expected by the 4th week of Sept 2007. With the next release, eSIMS will move to production quality, and will have most of the day-to-day functionality for student information management.
I'm considering to use Ruby on Rails for this project, as it will help us in delivering a more better agile model and change management.
There was a regression bug that caused a warning to be displayed at the end of academic year creation.
The problem has been fixed in the latest build aka the war which you have in the downloads page
The alpha version of the project has been released.
The next release nicknamed 'badger' will be in Aug '07
Update:
We have completed the second iteration of tests and bug fixes.
Next steps:
Awaiting golden build and final test.
The feature set for the alpha release has been frozen.
In order to support IE-7 we have pushed back the pre-beta release of the software to May 31st 2007.
