The program crashes as soon I enter something.
All the required programs are correctly installed to my knowledge. (MikTex)

Installed on another computer and I get the same error.
Same windows version.

Just to be sure. Did you installed the correct EqualX version for your system, 32 or 64 bits? If yes, continue reading below.
Did you have installed a previous version of EqualX?
This might be because of the settings of previous EqualX version. You need to clear settings for the newer version.
On Windows (from registry):
Exit EqualX (if running)->Click Windows start menu->Type regedit->Hit Enter->Go to Edit->Find->type equalx->Hit Search-> Delete whole equalX key->Start EqualX
On Linux (from configuration file):
Exit EqualX (if running). Open a terminal->Type: rm .config/equalx/settings.conf. Hit Enter. Start EqualX

I think I had the same problem and I solved it installing:
Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4

I also have this problem of the program crashing, and for the exact same missing .dll. Where would it be available ?
Never installed EqualX before, and Miktex runs without any problems on my computer
