Although this project page hasn't been updated in months and if anyone's actually tried using EQHook it's probably just crashed, I'm currently working on a complete rewrite that is 100 times more stable and includes some new functionality that I'm sure everyone will like. No guarantees on whether it will be released in a workable state, but you can probably expect some kind of update at least to CVS.
Beta 4 is out, and at last EQHook has a GUI. Back to bugfixes and enhancements for the next release, although I will probably be doing more work on the map plugin that now has its (very early) source on CVS.
Versions for betas are now done according to which final version they precede (confusing enough?), that is, instead of going from b1.0 to b2.0...to final 1.0, it's going 1.0b1 to 1.0b2...to 1.0 final. So the release formerly known as "Beta 2.0" will be known as "1.0 Beta 3." Just wanted to clarify that so people didn't ask why there's not Windows 9x support, etc, etc, in 1.0 Beta 2. ;-)
Beta 1.0 is out for testing.
Beta 2.0 release criteria:
-Windows 9x compatibility.
-"Safe mode" implemented.
-Plugins able to directly interface with DirectInput (macros, anyone?).
-Probably more stuff I'm forgetting.
