The previous release of Elan-PixManager (v0.9.1) has only 3 weeks and it has already been replaced by this new version 0.9.2! This version mainly contains fixes and especially for Windows end-users. Actually, the previous version could not be launched after executing the NSIS installer due to an issue in the deployment of Visual C++ 2008 runtime.

From now on DProg's developpers have their own website to promote their participation to open source software. You're really welcome on the http://www.dprog.net website. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Release 0.9.0 is online! After several months, our team is successful. We’re happy to show you the results of our hard but great work! Many bugs have been fixed. But what’s really new: the images cache from disk in a separated thread (multithreading). As a result, the graphic user interface is more responsive. By using a new runtime for the MinGW compiler, unexpected crashes have been resolved. Online help (in French) is now also available.

A new package called 'development snapshot' to test the ultimate features and bug fixes is available for download.

This package contains a full distribution of Elan-PixManager including a win32 installer. So you'll be able to test a bug fix that was just closed 2-3 days ago and before it would be integrated in a final (stable) release.

The version of Elan-PixManager application delivered in this package is not considered as a stable release. So that it’s designed for testing activities not for a production environment. Please note that no support is provided about those versions.

0.9 RC3 is now available.

You just can download it and tell us, if there are still some bugs.

0.9 should be online on February, the 28th.

Le désinstalleur de la RC 2 contient en effet un bug qui empêche la récupération des données. En outre, la gestion du contenu de la base de données ne fonctionne pas encore correctement dans la RC 2. First pages of the Elan-PixManager wiki are on line. Since now you can find basic informations about this poject, how to participate, etc.

The first public distribution of Elan-PixManager is available.

Elan-PixManager (French code name 'élan') is a tool to organize and manage photos. This is not a tool to edit them like many others images viewers/editors. Main aims for Elan-PixManager are:
- To display photos and thumbnails.
- To manage image files with functionalities like advanced images searching, recursive images folder copy, property-based renaming (e.g. date and time, auto number...), etc.
- To organize photos in a tree structure that is independent from the file system. Photos are organized in libraries who gather photo-albums that contain other albums and photos.
- To centralize photo management with a database.
- To provide an exportation file format to share images with others.
- To provide advanced keywords management with groups of keywords.
- To provide properties management attached with each photo.
- To display slideshow.
- To provide an expert tool for searching photos and their keywords with expressions combinations and regular expression matching.
- To display (and edit) images files metadata (e.g. EXIF properties).
- To generate HTML galleries.
