Hello, I ran the mas 1.6.6q setup.exe for windows and now trying to run the MAS client from command line. I am getting an error "Class not found: MA_CLIENT". I checked under %MAS_DIRECTORY%\lib\classes and there is no MA_CLIENT class there. Am I missing anything. The following files reside in %MAS_DIRECTORY%\lib\classes : .ma_client_settings .ma_clientrc CL_Client.class mascharts.jar Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Kalpak. |

Hello
I'm having problems with running more than one client simultaneously.
First client starts and works properly, but the next client hangs just after
the start. Only when I end first client's session the second client
continue to work. Both server and clients run on the same machine.
Is simultaneously running several clients available at all on Windows ?

it looks as if you have a classpath issue. You might need to add some.jarfiles to your classpath. Hi, I just found this software and i've tried to install it on a Debian testing box, i've downloaded the mas-1.6.6q-1.i386.rpm, then used alien to make it a deb file and installed it. The server works, and the command line client works too (although I don't know how to use it), but the gui client doesn't work (complaining about MA_Client.class) so i downloaded mas_gui.tar.gz and uncompress its content in /opt/mas/lib/classes. Thanks for your quick reply. Using the new config file had the same results. Hi David, You will have to also edit the file lib/.ma_clientrc and manually add the indicators there. Hope it helps. Last update seem to have been in '04 2.- Is ther another server besides yahoo.com that can be used instead? i.e. stocharts, msn money, etc... Hi. I can't get the server to download the quotes. I have: Placed the files dco.co.txt and wdh.co.txt in $MAS_DIRECTORY/cached_data/ and /opt/mas/lib/data/tradables/. Added dco.co and wdh.co to $MAS_DIRECTORY/symbols, /opt/mas/lib/data/symbols and /opt/mas/lib/data/symbols.mas. I start the server with mas -o -f , -w -b 13579 & and no error messages appears. Then I start the GUI with magc 13579 and get the following error messages from the server: Error occurred initiating transfer: File not found. I can change between the two tradables, but I only get the data I added manually. Any suggestions? And the bonus question: Is there anyway to remove the indicators ono by one. I'am new to mas and I want to stroe my data in the Postgres DataBase. I have created a database named - mas . Now I/m ready to poplate my database with the scripts in mas-1.6.5/src/scripts/database/posrgres/ make_derivative_data make_fake_interday_data make_stock_data make_stock_splits I noticed that make_derivative_data references a database named mas. The others reference a database named - mas_test. Should I change these scripts to reference a database named - mas. Does anyone know what the command arguments for these scripts. How do you execute them? Do you need to be in the mas/data/ directory. If anyone has a How to Proceed with this please help!!! I haven't been able to find a place to control the duration of a moving average, or how to have more than one moving average on the screen at a time. For example one simple technique is to use a 10 day and 50 day moving average and whenever the 10 day crosses the 50 day that generates a trade signal.
