Was there a particular mod which you've tried
to run and didn't work ?
I note that our EDGE.WAD (both 3.0 and 2.5) is
missing the FOGMAP lump, I'm not sure if there
ever was one, or if there was, when it got removed.
I've "fixed" this by making the [FOG] entry (and
some other ones we don't use anymore) into
dummy do-nothing entries. As Lobo said, we
can't support the old method with GL. A new
method is planned (sometime after 1.29).

I wouldn't worry about it too much since it doesn't work in
GLEdge anyway, and soon we're losing Software Edge so...
If you get an older version of Edge.wad I think that had the
FOGMAP lump: I don't remember where I got it from.

Fog support is now an RFE (Feature request),
hence closing this bug, "Fixed" since the
fatal error shouldn't occur anymore.
